Established in Kentish Town, London in 1946, Asphaltic Roofing Supplies has over 50 years' experience in the distribution of roofing materials. The company initially serviced the flat roofing sector, and in the early 1980's developed its product range to supply the pitched, industrial sheeting and agricultural markets.

Asphaltic for many years has been the largest specialist distributor of roofing materials and today operates nationally from a network of over 50 branches. Acknowledged as the industry leader, Asphaltic is the founding member of SIG Roofing Supplies, which is part of SIGplc, the British-owned multi-national building materials distribution group.

Asphaltic Roofing Supplies continues to develop through the application of modern business techniques, whilst maintaining, but not forgetting, the traditional values relative to individual customer needs and the local markets it serves.

During the company's development, the recruitment and training of its employees has been a key factor in its growth.
